Felix Sliced Beetroot 370 g – Small fine beetroot in a classic Swedish pickle. A little smaller, a little more delicate. Felix Beetroot is harvested when they are at their most tender and finest by our own, selected growers around southern Sweden. It very rarely happens that the harvest goes wrong and we have to import. The exceptions are stated on the label on the can. Prepared in the heart of Skåne according to a classic Swedish recipe with vinegar, sugar and spices. With an easy-to-open lid! A must for pitt i panna and many other classic Swedish dishes.

Beetroot Toast with Horseradish Cream (Rödbetstoast)

A vibrant, tangy open-faced sandwich layered with sweet sliced beets and creamy horseradish — perfect for a fika spread, light lunch, or as part of a traditional smörgåsbord.

đź§‚ Ingredients:

  • 4 slices of dark rye bread or crispbread

  • 1 small jar Felix Sliced Beets, drained

  • 100 ml crème fraĂ®che or sour cream

  • 1–2 tsp prepared horseradish (adjust to taste)

  • 1 boiled egg, sliced (optional)

  • Fresh dill or parsley for garnish

  • Salt and freshly ground white pepper

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, mix crème fraîche with horseradish. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  2. Spread the horseradish cream generously onto rye bread or crispbread.

  3. Layer with drained sliced beets.

  4. Top with sliced boiled egg if using.

  5. Garnish with a sprig of dill or a few leaves of chopped parsley.
