DJÄKNEGÅRDENS HONUNG

The story began with an early interest in insects. For Andrea, every small creature captured her attention—the ants beneath stones, the woodlice in flowerbeds, butterflies fluttering on blooms, and bumblebees adorned with pollen pants.

Andrea was always eager to hear tales about the times her great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather kept bees. She was fascinated by the workings of a bee society, from pollination to the collection of nectar for honey production. Over the years, Andrea's dedication allowed her to pursue beekeeping as a full-time profession, supported by both loyal and new customers.

Working with pollinating insects became a meaningful pursuit for her. Andrea's apiaries are beautifully situated in Northern Halland, among forests, seas, meadows, and agricultural landscapes.
