It is not without reason that Den Gamle Fabrik has been around for more than 175 years. For generations, Den Gamle Fabrik has been synonymous with the taste of real marmalade. Even though many years have passed, we still adhere to the good old craft principles and always select the very best berries and fruits. The Den Gamle Fabrik brand has its roots all the way back to the Strawberry Cellar on Strøget in Copenhagen, 1834. The Strawberry Cellar was the place where discerning Copenhageners and provincials bought delicious fresh berries and fruits. In conjunction with the sale of berries and fruits, customers in an adjacent summer restaurant could buy coffee, tea, homemade ice cream, fruit desserts and layer cake.
