Falksalt Coarse-grained Himalayan salt is a rock salt without any additives with large, irregular and light pink crystals of varying color intensity. The salt's beautiful pink color is due to the natural occurrence of minerals and trace elements, such as iron, magnesium, potassium and calcium.
The mineral richness also gives the pink Himalayan salt a mild, aromatic taste. Feel free to use coarse Himalayan salt in a salt grinder to add crispy saltiness to your dishes.
Falksalt Himalayan salt is mined in northern Pakistan where it has been stored in deposits in the bedrock for millions of years. From these enormous salt deposits, humans have been mining salt since ancient times - at least since the 4th century BC, and perhaps even longer than that.
