Itching is troublesome and can often be caused by the skin barrier being damaged by, for example, dry skin, atopic skin or an allergic reaction. If the skin's protective barrier is out of balance, it can, among other things, lack special fatty substances (lipids). To compensate for the lack of lipids, Bepanthen® SensiCalm provides lipids with a lamellar structure similar to the skin's own and which binds into the skin's protective barrier. In this way, the barrier is stabilized and soothes irritation, itching and redness. The cream also contains glycerin which moisturizes and binds moisture in the skin. This effect is supported by the natural substance dexpanthenol, which also has moisturizing properties.
The combination of the ingredients creates the best possible conditions for the skin's natural regeneration and the feeling of constant itching disappears. The cream is also free of perfume and cortisone. It is well tolerated and can therefore be used on both infants and children.
