Kombucha is a lightly bubbling and refreshing drink brewed with fermented green tea. In Asia, kombucha is a traditional drink with a thousand-year history. Today it is popular all over the world, not least for its probiotic properties.
The role of bacteria
The idea of probiotics to restore the bacterial balance in the intestinal flora. Many bacteria are essential for us. Some of them make it difficult for bad microorganisms to establish themselves in the stomach. Others facilitate the absorption of important minerals in the body. And still others ensure that the immune system is on guard.

mineral water, organic green tea, organic cane sugar and a live Kombucha culture.

Sugar plays a major role in the fermentation process. Not to sweeten the drink, but to accelerate the development of lactic acid bacteria strains. A finished kombucha batch contains less than 6 g of sugar / 100 ml of drink – significantly less than in traditional soft drinks.
