NORDBO Pure Zinc is an all-round zinc with three types of chelated zinc with high bioavailability: zinc bisglycinate, zinc picolinate and zinc malate. Zinc bisglycinate means that zinc has been bound to the amino acid glycine, in zinc picolinate zinc has been bound to picolinic acid and in zinc malate zinc has been bound to malic acid.
Zinc contributes, among other things, to the function of the immune system, cell renewal, reduced oxidative stress in the cells, normal bone structure and normal quality of skin, hair and nails.
In the diet, we get zinc through, among other things, meat and offal, dairy products, whole grains and nuts. The absorption is higher in animal foods, since the absorption is promoted by animal protein. If you eat a vegan diet, the Swedish Food Agency therefore recommends a slightly higher intake of zinc.
