The collagen is a quality product that gives you 5,000 mg of collagen per scoop in the form of Peptan®. Peptan® is hydrolyzed collagen of the highest possible quality. Collagen is a protein structure that holds together very tightly. This means that it can be difficult for the body to break it down. The fact that the collagen is hydrolysed means that it is pre-split into shorter segments. This processing also produces a powder that dissolves very easily in any kind of liquid, both hot and cold.
Collagen is naturally found in large amounts in the body. Collagen is a form of protein that makes up about a third of all the protein we have in us. Collagen is found in skin, hair, muscles, bones, joints, tendons, ligaments, gums, blood vessel walls and more. Since collagen is found in so many different tissues with different functions, there are also several forms of collagen, but the most common ones are 1-3.
