This powdered porridge has a slightly coarser consistency than its sister Creamy and has a taste of blackcurrant and apple. Suitable for all children who like a little texture and for those who don't really know it yet.

The powdered porridge is naturally rich in iron and nutrients from organic ingredients such as oatmeal, oat flour, oat bran, freeze-dried blackcurrants, apple and coconut.

Add any milk or MME/breast milk for more nutrition and taste. The taste can be easily varied by topping with, for example, banana and blueberries. Enjoy your porridge!

Does the porridge contain enough nutrition, since it is not enriched?

The porridge only contains ingredients that are naturally nutritious and contribute iron, fiber, protein and vitamins such as vitamin C, B6, folate and calcium, etc. All of these are important for a growing child. If the porridge is used as part of a varied diet, synthetically added vitamins and minerals are not needed.

The advantage of natural nutrition is that the body often absorbs these more easily. On the porridge packaging you will find good tips on other foods rich in iron to
create variety.

What is the difference between Creamy and Chunky?

The biggest difference is the taste and consistency. In Creamy we only have oat flour and not oat groats, which gives a smoother texture with a mild taste of raspberry and banana.

Chunky contains a mixture of oat flour and oat groats, which gives it more texture. This has a taste of apple, blackcurrant and coconut.

How do I cook porridge when I'm not at home?

We recommend cooking the porridge at home for the best consistency, but when you're on the go and don't have the opportunity, you can mix it with boiling water before adding milk. When the porridge is cooked this way, less water is needed.

What about allergens?

Our powdered porridge is gluten-free and free of milk, eggs and nuts.

Do I have to serve the porridge with milk?

According to the Swedish and European Baby Food Regulations, milk should be added either to the porridge (in powder form) or added during cooking. Therefore, we recommend that you add breast milk/formula for the youngest children and milk of your choice for the older children. That said, it is of course possible to serve the porridge without milk, but the milk contributes both taste and nutrition.

Why do you use oat bran?

According to baby food regulations, all powdered porridge sold in Europe must have a certain level of a vitamin called Thiamine (B1). Oat bran naturally has this, along with other nutrients and fiber. If it becomes too much fiber for your child, you can wait a few weeks and try again. Children's intestines are constantly developing.

NOTE: The factory that makes the powdered porridge also makes traditional powdered porridge and handles powdered milk. That is why we write; “may contain traces of milk” on the packaging.

How much iron does our porridge contain compared to other powdered porridges?

Our two porridges are naturally rich in iron and have the following amount of iron: 4.4mg/100g (Chunky) and 4.1mg/100g (Creamy). One serving has approximately 1 mg of iron.

Other porridges can vary greatly in content. The biggest difference is that we do not use added iron, but instead iron from natural sources.

We recommend varying with other foods that contain iron, preferably more of those that the body absorbs easily. We have more tips on the back of our porridge package.
