Black Currant Glazed Chicken (Swedish Sweet & Savory Twist)
A juicy, oven-baked chicken dish elevated with the rich, tangy sweetness of Bob Black Currant Jelly. Perfect for cozy dinners or impressing guests with minimal effort.

4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 tbsp olive oil
3 tbsp Bob Black Currant Jelly
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
2 garlic cloves, minced
Fresh thyme for garnish (optional)
👩‍🍳 Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
Season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper.
Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken, skin-side down, until golden brown, about 5 minutes. Flip and cook for another 2 minutes.
In a small bowl, whisk together Bob Black Currant Jelly, Dijon mustard, balsamic vinegar, and minced garlic.
Brush the glaze over the chicken thighs.
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 75°C (165°F).
Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh thyme if desired.
