A smoky, savory twist on a classic Nordic snack. This easy tapenade brings together the rich flavor of Abba's oak-smoked mussels with fresh herbs and lemon. Perfect for a smörgåsbord, picnic, or cozy fika.

  • 1 tin (105g) Abba Oakchip Smoked Blue Mussels, drained

  • 1 tbsp capers, rinsed

  • 1 tbsp finely chopped red onion

  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard

  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh dill

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Crispbread (e.g., Wasa or Leksands) for serving

  • Optional: lemon zest and extra dill for garnish

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mash the smoked mussels with a fork until flaky but still textured.

  2. Stir in capers, red onion, mustard, lemon juice, and olive oil. Mix well.

  3. Fold in chopped dill and season with salt and pepper to taste.

  4. Spread generously on crispbread.

  5. Garnish with lemon zest and a sprig of dill, if desired.
