Kavli Räkost is all of Sweden's favorite soft cheese, made from selected classic cheeses and fine Arctic prawns. Fat content only 16%. Kavlis soft cheese is locally produced in Älvsjö. In order to get the best possible quality and taste of our products, we always use first-class hard cheese and the best raw materials. All our soft cheeses are pasteurized and it is fine to eat them if you are pregnant. Kavli soft cheese is good to have on the sandwich, as an ingredient and flavoring agent in cooking in e.g. soup, pie or pasta sauce
🧀 Toast Skagen-Style with Kavli Räkor
(A creamy shrimp toast in 5 minutes!)
This shortcut version of Sweden’s beloved Toast Skagen uses Kavli’s soft cheese with shrimp to recreate the creamy seafood topping with minimal fuss.
🍞 Ingredients:
2 slices of toast (white, rye or sourdough)
2–3 tbsp Kavli Soft Cheese Spread Shrimp
½ tsp Dijon mustard (optional, for tang)
1 tsp lemon juice
Fresh dill (chopped, to taste)
Optional: cooked peeled shrimp for garnish
Butter for toasting
Black pepper
👩‍🍳 Instructions:
Lightly butter and toast your bread slices until golden and crisp.
In a small bowl, mix Kavli cheese with mustard, lemon juice, and a pinch of dill.
Spread generously over the toast. Add a few extra shrimp on top if desired.
Sprinkle with black pepper and garnish with more dill and a lemon wedge.
