Djungelvrål. Jungle Roar, came out in 1982 and since then the Roaring Salty Licorice Animals have been a Malaco favorite with many candy lovers. Suitable for those who love extra salty salmiak.



Djungelvrål Chocolate Bark (Salty-Sweet Swedish Treat)

A bold twist on classic chocolate bark, featuring the intense saltiness of Malaco Djungelvrål Original balanced by smooth dark chocolate.

🧂 Ingredients:

  • 200g dark chocolate (70% cocoa)

  • 100g Malaco Djungelvrål Original

  • Optional: 1 tbsp crushed roasted almonds

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Melt the dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water (double boiler method) or in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.

  3. Pour the melted chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it into an even layer about 5mm thick.

  4. While the chocolate is still warm, press the Malaco Djungelvrål pieces evenly into the surface.

  5. Sprinkle crushed roasted almonds over the top if using.

  6. Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes, or until the chocolate has fully set.

  7. Once set, break the bark into irregular pieces and store in an airtight container at room temperature.

💡 Tip: For a milder flavor, chop the Djungelvrål into smaller pieces before adding to the chocolate.
