Fungal shampoo is an over-the-counter medicine used to treat fungal infections of the scalp, that is dandruff. Dandruff is white flakes consisting of dead skin cells that have been pushed away from the outermost skin layer of the scalp. There are two types of dandruff, one is dry, fine and loose dandruff that comes off the scalp and falls on the shoulders. The other is greasy and coarse dandruff that sticks to the hair and becomes thick crusts on the scalp that can be irritating with rotting and itching.

Fungal effectively affects the scalp affected by dandruff. The shampoo can be used by adults and children over 12 years of age.

Things to think about if you suffer from dandruff:

Wash hair with mild unscented shampoo

Avoid tight caps and hats

Avoid hair gel, wax or the like

If no improvement is experienced after 14 days, a doctor should be contacted

Dosage & use
In case of dandruff on the scalp or dry or oily scaly scalp (seborrheic dermatitis):

Treatment: Wash your hair with Ketoconazole Actavis 2 times a week for 2-4 weeks.

Prevention: Use Ketoconazole Actavis once a week or every two weeks.

Use:

- Wet hair and scalp.
- Add a small amount of shampoo.
- Massage the shampoo in properly.
- Leave the shampoo on for 3-5 minutes before rinsing it out.


The active substance is ketoconazole. Other ingredients are sodium lauryl ether sulfate, disodium monolauryl ether sulfosuccinate, coconut fatty acid diethanolamide, lauridimonium hydrolyzed animal collagen, Macrogol 120 methyl glucose dioleate, hydrochloric acid, sodium hydroxide, sodium chloride, preservative (imidurea), dye E127 (erythrosine) and purified water
