Salty Licorice Chocolate Truffles (Hockeypulvertryfflar)
A bold, uniquely Scandinavian twist on chocolate truffles, where sweet meets salty with a hit of licorice powder. Perfect for adventurous candy lovers or a cheeky fika surprise.
đź§‚ Ingredients:
200 g dark chocolate (around 70%)
100 ml heavy cream
1 tbsp butter
1–2 tsp Grahns Hockey Powder Topping (plus extra for rolling)
Optional: a pinch of flaky sea salt
👩‍🍳 Instructions:
Chop the chocolate finely and place in a bowl.
Heat the cream and butter together in a small saucepan until just simmering.
Pour the hot cream mixture over the chocolate and let sit for a minute, then stir until smooth.
Mix in 1–2 tsp Hockey Pulver (adjust depending on how salty you like it).
Chill the mixture until firm enough to shape — about 1–2 hours.
Roll into small balls and coat in more Hockey Pulver or a mix of licorice powder and cocoa.
💡 Tip: Serve with strong coffee or aquavit. Not for the faint of heart — but very, very Swedish.
