Anise offers a nice burst of flavor with a licorice character. Whole and crushed anise are used in biscuits and breads, fruit desserts, pastries and drinks. Allow to soak in hot water, fruit stock or dough liquid for 10-15 minutes before use, so the aroma develops properly.
Tip! Grind 1 teaspoon of anise seeds and make your own tea. Pour on boiling water and let steep for about 10 minutes. Strain and drink.
